How To Choose Half Lashes That Suit Your Eye Shape

You can’t underestimate the effect of a perfect pair of eyelashes on beauty. As false as they are, they make your lashes look longer and fuller, highlighting your eyes’ beauty. But they can also make you look off if you don’t select the right ones.

That’s right! Like how you get a hairstyle depending on your face shape, you must get the right lashes for your eye shape.

Additionally, ensure the style is right to avoid looking like a crown. And here’s how you can choose the right lashes to suit your eye shape.

Round Eyes

Round eyes seem large because they reveal the iris. Therefore, if your eyes are round, you should see most of the iris. Thus, you can see the white surrounding the iris from all angles, including the top, bottom, and sides.

These eyes look better with the lightweight half lashes, which can be curly for a more dramatic look. Avoid thick styles since they’re heavy and can weigh your eyes down. Also, they can make your eyes look smaller and flat.

Almond Eyes

Most people have almond eyes. If your eyes have a wider center and are pointed at the edges, they’re almond. Also, the iris is partially invisible since the upper and lower lids cover it.

These eyes are an added advantage because you can choose from all eyelashes. For a natural look, you can go for the winged fluttery luxury lash.

On the other hand, you can choose a thicker, fluffy, but evenly distributed lash for a more dramatic look.

Hooded Eyes

Hooded eyes have a fold over the lower eyelid. Therefore your eyelids aren’t visible when the eyes are open. Sometimes the eyes may retract in the crease.

If your eyes are hooded, you can go for long lashes, especially at the center. Cluster or individual lashes will look great since you can build them up for a better look. You can also experiment with the strip lashes. However, keep off the dramatic long and thick lashes since they appear heavy, making your eyes look smaller. For a more natural look, you can try shorter lashes but make them longer at the center to create a depth illusion.

Upturned Eyes

These are usually known as cat eyes. Their inner corners point lower than the outer corners. They look similar to almond eyes, but the outer corner curls slightly, and the bottom lashes curl upward.

These eyes look great with light and fluttery lashes. A half lash can also do the job of emphasizing the outer corners, especially the flared type. However, avoid the thick-set lashes since it’s heavy and can overwhelm the eyes.

Protruding Eyes

Protruding eyes may appear as bulging from their sockets. They recede deeply into the face and can appear large.

The best eyelash for such eyes is the high curl lush or a feathery lush for a dramatic appearance. Ensure the lash has volume for a more elegant look to complement the sultry pair.

Downturned Eyes

Simply put, downturned eyes are the opposite of upturned ones. Therefore the outer corners point lower than the inner corners; hence the eyelids appear larger. For a great look, you can use the luxury criss-cross lashes. The winged style will give you a more dramatic look since they lift the outer corners.

Deep Set Eyes

Deep-set eyes appear larger since they’re set deeper in the skull. Therefore they leave the brow bone looking prominent while your natural lashes graze the eyelids’ top.

Since you need to accentuate the eyes, you can settle for a lash that’s longer in the middle. Also, it should be curled up and out from the brow. You can also work with individual lashes since they allow you to add more on the center to enhance the curly lift. Longer lashes are ideal for concealing unsightly mascara smudges on the brow or jaw.

Eyelashes can help you enhance your looks, provided you get the right ones. First, however, you need to identify your eye shape to help you settle for ones that flatter your eyes. Also, ensure they’re of the right quality to avoid compromising the health of your eyes.
